The LCGP raises funds for charities which provide financial support for lawyers (and their dependents) who find themselves in need. Since 1987 alone, we have raised over £500,000 for the charities we support.
Given that none of us knows when we might be in need of such assistance (as the "case studies" in the "Beneficiaries" section show all too vividly) it is vitally important that the legal profession as a whole - to include the judiciary, barristers, solicitors and legal executives – get behind the LCGP so that it, in turn, can financially support the charities whose objects are to provide that assistance. It goes without saying that all the charities are extremely grateful for the support they receive from the LCGP- and, indeed, many of them rely heavily on us for our help.
